ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS FOR UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS:
For each of our programs, you must:
- Finish Queensland Year 12 or an equivalent qualification that is recognized by UQ.
- Attain the entry-level minimal score.
- Fulfil any prerequisites in the subject.
- Qualify for the required English language requirements.
- Successfully satisfy any application criteria that could be program-specific.
- Additionally, you may need to fulfil inherent prerequisites that are built into some programs to graduate.
QUALIFICATION
You must have completed successfully Queensland Year 12 or a certificate comparable to Queensland Year 12 with the requisite minimum admission score for the program you want to study to be given a spot in an undergraduate program.
ENTRY-LEVEL MINIMAL SCORE
To qualify for a program you must have to obtain the minimum entry-level score. Depending on the studies you have done, multiple ways of displaying the minimal entry-level score are available;
International Baccalaureate, Year 12 in Australia
If you are enrolled in any of the following programs: Australian Year 12 (or equivalent), or International Baccalaureate, you must obtain the necessary ATAR score, Queensland rank, or IB score for your desired UQ program.
- International Studies identical to Australian Year 12
If you are presently finishing your senior year of high school abroad, you must obtain the score needed to be admitted to your desired UQ program.
- Non-school dropouts
If you haven’t finished high school yet, we’ll evaluate your application based on any coursework you’ve done since then.
SUBJECT PREREQUISITES

PRIOR EDUCATION DEGREE OR WORK EXPERIENCE

MINIMUM GPA
The grading systems and procedures used by various universities to calculate GPAs vary widely. A GPA of 4 is a pass, while a 7 is the highest grade on UQ’s 7-point system.
UQ will figure out your GPA using the UQ grading system when you apply. Any subpar marks will be added.
Even if your GPA falls short of the cutoff for your desired school, you should still think about applying. You might be eligible for admission to a program at a lower level in the same field.
