You’re an international student who wants to study in the United States. You’ve heard that some universities are waiving the GRE/GMAT for undergraduates starting in the spring/fall of 2023.

Great news! This means you may be able to apply to your desired school without having to take these exams. However, there are a few things you need to know before you apply.

In this article, we’ll discuss the waiver process and what you need to do in order to take advantage of it.

GRE/GMAT Waiver in USA

Universities in the United States are increasingly waiving the GRE/GMAT requirement for international students. This is great news for students who may not have had the opportunity to take these exams, or for those who believe their academic qualifications speak for themselves.

If you’re an international student interested in studying in the United States, now is the time to look into universities that offer a GRE/GMAT waiver. Keep in mind that each university has its own requirements, so be sure to read through the waiver criteria carefully. And don’t hesitate to reach out to Edvise Hub’s consultant if you have any questions.

Good luck!

Universities in the US are increasingly waving the GRE GMAT

Benefits of Applying with the Waiver

Gaining admission to a prestigious university with the GRE/GMAT waiver can be quite beneficial for you as an international student. The waiver can be used as a way to open doors and increase your chances of being accepted. Plus, it can also help you save time and money since these tests are expensive and require a lot of preparation.

With the GRE/GMAT waiver, you don’t have to worry about taking tests or worrying whether they will be valid enough to get accepted into the school of your choice. Also, it makes the whole admissions process easier and less stressful since you don’t have to worry about additional application requirements or if your scores are high enough for the university in question. Moreover, this waiver also reduces the financial burden for students that cannot afford to spend money on test preparations and registration fees.

In short, opting for a GRE/GMAT waiver gives you more control over your application process and could potentially ease some of the stress associated with applying to universities in the US.

What Universities in the US Are Offering the Waiver?

It is important to know that the GRE/GMAT waiver is a decision of a department not a decision of the university. This means that GRE/GMAT in a university might be waived off only for a particular course and not others. So be very vigilant and check thoroughly and pick your course accordingly. The universities who are waiving the GRE/GMAT requirement for international students for the Spring/Fall 2023 intake are as follows:

  • You must submit the required documents that will be the GRE/GMAT replacement to your university such as GPA, Resume, SOP, LOR, etc. beside this universities can also conduct interviews.
  • You can also write a letter to get a GRE/GMAT waiver. Remember to follow the formatting requirements while drafting one such as a clear statement of purpose, providing a specific example, showing your work experience and skills, etc.
  • Lastly, show how your career has progressed in your documents and essays, demonstrate your strong leadership skills, and select a course that will meet both your professional and personal needs.
