This becomes a barrier for many students who want to pursue their studies in UK. However, the good news for these students is that there are many other universities in UK that do not require the IELTS exam. In this article we look at some questions like; what is IELTS? IELTS

The IELTS test (International English Language Testing System) is a well-known exam to assess the competency of people in English language. Universities, corporations, government agencies, and companies around the world accept the results of IELTS as a proof of English proficiency. In other words, IELTS is a standardized English language proficiency assessment test. It is a worldwide framework aimed toward students and professionals who don’t speak English as their first language. The primary goal of this exam is to determine whether or not a person can communicate in English fluently. Students and professionals from all around the world use IELTS for university admissions, job applications, and migration to English speaking countries.

The four sections that student will be assessed on in the IELTS exam are;

  • Listening
  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Speaking

IELTS is divided into two types: general training and academics. Both have the same goal of evaluating the English competency of non-native English speakers; yet, they are slightly different from one another. Furthermore, IELTS fees vary from country to country, in Pakistan, it ranges from 33000 to 38000 Rupees.
