If you are over 18 years old and studying a short course, you may fit the requirements for the short-term study visa. The short-term study visa is valid for up to 6 months and can be extended for a stay of up to 11 months.

If you are studying a longer course then you have to make sure your chosen institution holds a Tier 4 Sponsor Licence. If you are aged 16 to 17 years old then you will apply for a Tier 4 (Child) student visa and if you are aged above 17 then you will apply for a Tier 4 (General) student visa.
