Student work right in Canada
Post Graduate work:
Canada allows international students to avail of postgraduate work permit after completing the degree. The student who has completed one year of degree can avail 1-year work permit where students with 2-4 years of undergraduate and graduate degree can avail 3 years of work permit.
To get the work permit:
- You must have completed a study program:
- It must be at a designated learning institution, that led to a degree, diploma or certificate
- You must have maintained full-time status as a student in Canada during each semester of your study program (except your final semester, which can be part-time, or if you took a leave from studies).
Part-time work during studies:
Canada allows international students to work on and off-campus. Students usually prefer to work on campus because not just it’s easy to cope up with your studies while staying on campus but also the pay rate is slightly higher than working off-campus. International students can only work for 20 hrs. Per week off-campus.
