When to Apply to Universities in the UK

When you start working on your application, it is important to familiarize yourself with key deadlines. It doesn’t matter which country or university you are applying to, what matters is to know the deadline and work around it. Many students face problems with their applications because they didn’t take the deadline seriously and started the application process at the very last moment. The admission officers are very clever people, they can understand the efforts that were put into the application and if it was done hastily, you know as well as I, that it wouldn’t be good for you. So if you are serious about getting into the universities that you desire, then take your application and deadlines seriously!

Undergraduate and Graduate: When to Apply to Universities

Below we will list down the key deadlines to make it easier for you:

UCAS Deadline

  • 15 October – All courses at Cambridge and Oxford and most medicine, veterinary medicine and dentistry courses at all other institutions
  • 26 January – all other undergraduate courses for EU students
  • 30 June – all other undergraduate courses for international students
  • 29 September – you can apply until this date but you will not be able to choose courses as you will enter into Clearing – a process through which universities and colleges fill any places they still have on their courses.

For Universities Deadline

  • Many universities have different deadlines for international students, so check specific university deadlines on the university websites.
