According to the QS rankings, the top university for academic excellence in Australia is the University of Melbourne, with an Australian ranking of no.1, and a global ranking of no. 14. It has also been found that the University of Melbourne is recognised as a top employer university in Australia in 2024. To provide detailed information about the Australia admission requirements, let’s look at the admission process requirements of the University of Melbourne being at the top in Australia in 2024.

Australia Admission Requirements:

International Applicants for Undergraduate Level (Minimum Requirements):

The students willing to apply for an undergraduate program at the University of Melbourne are required to meet the following application eligibility criteria (minimum):

  2. Additional academic requirements such as basic subjects, tests, portfolios, interviews etc must also be met.
  3. The students must also meet the English Language requirements, which include proof of English proficiency test, such as in the form of IELTS, PTE etc. It is important that the students must have taken the test in their home country or their last country of residence or education. The acceptance score for TOEFL is 79 in total, with a score of 21 in writing, 18 for speaking, 13 for reading and 12 for listening. However, for the IELTS, the required average score is of at least 6.5 bands, with a score of not less than 6.0 in each band.

Once you meet the minimum eligibility criteria, you are eligible for the application processing. The students are also required to meet the subject score requirements and the subject prerequisites. This will help in assessing if the applicant possesses the right skills required for the course or not, or if the student has a keen knowledge and experience in the required program.
