Eligibility Requirements to Study in Go8 Universities Australia

Every Go8 university has its own eligibility criteria. Aspiring students should browse through their chosen program and university to find the specific required eligibility criteria for that program and university. However, some general requirements for admission to the Go8 universities are outlined below:

  • Educational Transcripts
  • IELTS and GMAT exam scores (for MBA applicants) must be provided. The minimum scores for IELTS and GMAT vary from institution to institution. Therefore, refer to the particular university website to find the eligibility requirements for your chosen course.
  • If you are applying for an MBA or a doctoral program then you may need to provide an experience letter.
  • A detailed CV
  • A statement of purpose
  • A letter of recommendation

The admission process for Go8 universities in Australia is notably stricter than that of other institutions. When applying for a program, the university will look at the hard factors – GPA, grades and test scores and soft factors – essays, extracurricular activities, recommendations etc. For example, when applying for undergraduate programs, the university will evaluate your A-level scores as well as your extracurricular activities and for postgraduate courses, it will evaluate your comprehensive profile, taking into account your experience, test scores and CGPA to determine if you are eligible for admission.
