A minimum of a 2:2 UK honours degree in any recognised subject is required. However, students with degrees in any of the following subjects would be especially well equipped for our MSc programme: Accountancy, Banking, Business Administration, Law, Politics, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Management, Mathematics or Science or a recognised equivalent international qualification. However, there are a few courses which require a minimum of UK 2:1, the applicants must have scored a GPA of 2.6 or 2.8 out of 4.0 in their bachelor's program. The applicants having a 2 or 3-year bachelor's degree along with a master's degree, must have scored a 2.8 GPA out of 3.0 or 4.0, which makes up to 70 or 75% of the total score.

English proficiency is required for this course at the Surrey University. The IELTS Academic test score of 6.5 (overall), with 6.0 in each element is acceptable. However, the university also offers intensive pre-sessional English language courses, which help students achieve the levels of English proficiency required for this program.

The University of Surrey recognises that many students enter their higher education course with valuable knowledge and skills developed through a range of professional, vocational and community contexts. If this applies to you, a process called recognition of prior learning (RPL) may allow you to enter your course at a point appropriate to your previous learning and experience, or to join the start of a course without the formal entry requirements.

The number of modules per semester for full-time students is four, where projects and case topics are allocated to the students at the end of the second semester, however, the students work on them during summer. During the first semester, the number of compulsory subjects will be two, however, in the second semester, the number of compulsory subjects will be 6.
