The Bachelor of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences prepares you to make a real difference to people’s health and wellbeing.

You’ll discover the roles that food, exercise and sleep play in our health, the prevention of chronic disease, and sporting performance – gaining the skills and knowledge to pursue a variety of clinical and non-clinical health careers.

With flexible course options, you can design this program to fit your own career goals and tailor your studies towards meeting the entry requirements into a range of postgraduate degrees such as:

  • Master of Dietetics Studies
  • Doctor of Medicine
  • Master of Physiotherapy Studies
  • Master of Audiology Studies
  • Master of Occupational Therapy Studies
  • Master of Public Health
  • Master of Speech Pathology Studies.

For students with provisional entry to the Doctor of Medicine, this is a recognised pathway, providing future medical practitioners with a holistic perspective of health through exercise and nutrition, and a solid grounding in biomedical sciences.

For domestic students interested in becoming a dietitian, we offer a provisional entry pathway from the Bachelor of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences into the Master of Dietetics Studies, which guarantees your place in the master's program (subject to requirements).

Prerequisites

Queensland Year 12 (or equivalent) General English subject (Units 3 & 4, C); General Mathematics, Mathematical Methods or Specialist Mathematics (Units 3 & 4, C); and one of Biology, Chemistry or Physics (Units 3 & 4, C)

Use the minimum entry score as a guide. Your score must be at least equivalent to the required Australian Year 12 ATAR score. Entry requirements are subject to change.

IELTS overall 6.5; reading 6; writing 6; speaking 6; listening 6. For other English Language Proficiency Tests and Scores approved for UQ

TOEFL IBT - Overall 87, listening 19, reading 19, writing 21 and speaking 19.

TOEFL PB - Overall 570, listening 54, reading 54, writing 59/5.

Pearsons - Overall Score of 64 and 60 in all sub bands.

BE - A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all macro skills.

CES - Overall 176 and 169 in all sub bands.

OET is not accepted.
