Perth is a city in Australia that offers an exemplary standard of education and lively culture making it a popular destination for students to consider studying abroad. However, choosing to study in Perth rather than other Australian cities or a different country may cause some apprehension. At times like this, it is encouraged to contact an education consultant or Career consultant to guide and advise you for your degree abroad. Factors like deadlines, intakes, different courses and application processes may make studying abroad complex, therefore keeping in touch with a consultant may result in the process being holistically easy and straightforward.

Below are a few factors an international student should consider while applying to Perth.

Work as an international student

International students holding a student visa are permitted to work in Australia. You can work up to 40 hours per fortnight during the semester and full time during semester breaks and holidays with around a stipend of 20 dollars per hour. Recently, the Australian government announced a temporary relaxation of working hours for student visa holders. This means students now can work more than 40 hours a fortnight in any sector of the economy. These temporary measures remain in place until further notice.

However, when you apply for a student visa, the student must prove that they have enough self-funds to pay for their tenure in Perth without relying solely on income that you earned while  working in Perth.
