You are often told some misinformation’s about immigration. But we will try to clarify your myths about studying abroad which will surely debunk your misconceptions about it.

#1 Studying abroad is so expensive!

Fact: There are different pocket-loving budgets for different disciplines.

The study expenses can vary in different countries depending on the type and length of the discipline, university, and location.  You can choose any affordable degree out there because several universities are offering reasonable education facilities. Moreover, some countries like Finland, Denmark, and Sweden are offering free education. Students can also avail themselves of the opportunity of scholarships to meet the education and accommodation expenditures. Nevertheless, foreign countries are granting loans to students to cut their day-to-day expenses.

#2 The procedure is complicated.

Fact: Just fulfill the simple requirements.

Student Visa

The method to apply for studying abroad is similar to those universities in your country. It is necessary to attach certain documents with the application which is a common manner in all education institutes like your recent mark sheet of a college exam, letter of recommendation, character certificate, and a good score in an internationally recognized English test (TOFEL and IELTS).

In short, you can easily meet all these requirements if you want to go study abroad. If you are worried about the aptitude /English language test then let me add in it that it is not common in all universities.

#3 Studying abroad means it will take longer to graduate.

Fact: Be organized. You can graduate on time only with proper planning.

Studying Abroad

Normally, it takes 4 or 5 years to be graduated so it doesn’t make any sense that study abroad takes a longer time. Though, it all depends on your credit hours and semester length. Holidays are also provided to students (summer and winter vacations) so they can visit their hometown to enjoy an education break. You should take part in curriculum activities which soothingly don’t make you feel any thoughts of being far from home.

Moreover, you can go for part-time jobs to get yourself busy with foreign life. Studying abroad makes you self-dependent and survivor.

#4 I will not adapt abroad.

Fact: Studying abroad would be the most beautiful adventure of your life if you are an open person and want to meet different people with different cultures.

International universities will assure your safe stay on campus.  And also offering some solutions like a Buddy programme, welcome week and approach to the international office. In the first week, on-campus events are organized for international students. You will explore the university, meet colleagues and teachers. Moreover, theme parties are organized so you can find out the affordable supermarkets, transportations, health care services, and banking. Within a buddy programme you meet your senior or someone who faced the same situations. He will help you in the first year. He will share his experience to keep you alert and make your position strong in the university. Be friendly with anyone that will be easy for you to adopt a new life perfectly. If you are having any issues regarding accommodation and university, you can visit the international office/career center. There will be counselors, volunteers, psychologists who will fix your problem in a short time.

Studying Abroad

#5 Businesses don’t care if you studied abroad.

Fact: It cares because mannerisms of employment are grown by studying abroad.

By studying aboard you are not supposed to only have a degree but also an international qualification and experience. Also, you need to challenge yourself towards the market demand. People are more likely to be preferred for certain jobs if they are having a foreign degree. You can’t write just, I have studied from abroad” on your talent profile, you need to showcase your skills to potential companies by speaking another language, mentioning your experiences (like internships and past jobs), and your qualifications in the specific discipline. In this way, you can easily be hired by companies.
